Nashville Media Progress

I stopped watching the local news years ago when the coverage no longer seemed interesting and the stories no longer relevant. Weather coverage was the only thing that would occasionally bring me back. I’m glad to see that WKRN gets it and that they’re using Donata Communications to help them along. I heard Terry Heaton interviewed by Chris Pirillo several months ago, but, I had no Idea that he was from my hometown. Cool.

Days like this don’t happen too often in middle Tennessee. A few in the spring and a few in the fall…that’s it. It’s time to cut some grass to get that good smell in the air.

These guys are great. I saw them for the first time last week at the Cannery in Nashville and was really impressed. The show is available on the Live Music Archive. Check it out.

It’s nice to see blogging emerge in Tennessee state politics.  Several Democrats have expressed their feelings and aren’t too pleased that the conversation is being taken to new venues.  In fact, they don’t even see it as a conversation.  These links might help.

Congratulations to Burt Rutan and the team at Scaled Composites. SpaceShipOne claimed the $10M Ansari X-Prize by completing the second of two flights which took the craft to approximately 367,000 feet, well beyond the edge of Earth and space.

Last week Sir Richard Branson announced that he would begin offering commercial flights into space in 2007 using aircraft based on SpaceShipOne.
